Home Manicure Procedure
I will go into how you can do a personal manicure even at home:
1. The first step is to make sure that your hands and nails are clean including removing any old enamel that you may
have on your nails with the cotton wool and enamel remover. Also rinse your hand with detergent and water;
2. You should then decide on what shape you would like on your nails to be then cut and shape them if needed, and
then use your emery board to file them so that all edges are at least rounded to prevent cracking. You should file your nails into the most
crack-resistant shape: a square with rounded corners;
3. Take a soft cotton bud and take a very small amount of buffing paste from the pot and smear on the top of your nail
evenly to start the buffing process. With the buffer, buff your nails. To get a natural shine, use a buffer that offers three or four polishing
textures. Start with the coarsest surface and end with the finest one. The idea here is that if you have a lot of time then you can apply more
coats and get a better shine that will last longer;
4. With another clean cotton bud, take a small amount of cuticle cream and apply to the cuticle of each nail. Massage
this in circular movements to soften the cuticles and ready them for shaping;
5. Soak your hands in warm soapy water containing an anti-bacterial liquid soap to clean additional grime that might
not have been taken care of earlier;
6. Dry your hands then carefully push back the cuticles with the towel, as much as you can before resorting to tipped
orange stick;
