Nail Scissors
Nail scissors should not be mistaken for cuticle scissors which although they look very similar serve a different purpose in the manicure treatment process. Nail scissors are basically a replacement for nail cutters and can be used in place of it if you wish. Personally I prefer to use both as each of them have their own distinct advantages. The conventional nail cutter should be used first to cut the main bulk of the nail then the nail scissors to clean up the area or to give some manicured detail to the nail if you so wish, remember the nail scissor should be used as a detailing tool and not to trim the whole nail.

Types of nail scissors can be differentiated by the blade size than the curvature of the blade. Curved blades are very useful if you need to detail curves into nail and also to render details on the nail in hard to reach areas like at the tips of the nails. Likewise smaller blades are also more usable when trying to put details on the nails.
Personally, I always use scissors with the smallest blades with a slight curvature as it makes detailing much easier and precise. I leave large cutting to nail clippers as they are more precise than using large blade nail scissors and leave a nice lisp which can be detailed to any shape you wish.
Care for nail scissors are exactly the same any other instrument that is used during the manicure procedures. Nail scissors must have all old skin tissue removed then cleaned before and after use with disinfectant liquids to ensure that no harmful viruses or bacteria are transferred from one person to the other.
